Let's start with Happy New Year, 2026 will be year five for us at Legion Speedway and hopefully will be another good year to have some fun at a local dirt track. Things are always happening during these few months of the year. Catching up on some emails and reviewing some from during the race season as well. I will share some things that happened since September.

October, November we put down some new clay in the corners and will be getting more in the early spring when it is feasible to do so. One day while I was doing leaves on the property a vehicle drove in and wanted to look around. Of course, I let them do so. Come to find out it was Cody and Melissa who own dirt track in Oklahoma. Unfortunately, they ended up cutting their season short and posted the track for sale. Not something the wanted but reasons why were hard to believe. I know firsthand it is not as easy as some think.
December, I had attended the PRI Show in Indianapolis to be part of the educational seminars and network with other promoters around the country. This is always something I enjoy learning more about the industry and see what others do in different parts of the country. Also get to meet up with so many people who really support short tracks, like the great folks at MyRacePass , they do so much for all tracks. Then of course the holidays come. The Tulsa Shootout happened between Christmas and New Years and Granite State Micro Sprints were represented well with Chase Rodgers, Joshua Boissoneau, Jacob Green, Ryan Green, Todd Davis, Luke Hinkley, and some others racers from CT. lead by Haylee Papp and some junior sprint racers that will hopefully try Legion Speedway this summer to see what those are like. Now January is here and I am working with some great businesses to become partners at the track during 2026. Those announcements will be out soon hopefully. We have some great partners continuing into 2026. Like Jake's Market & Deli who have been with us since 2022. Great people and great stores. We know racers stop in the Canaan and Enfield stores daily and trips to the track. The New England Auto Racing Museum has an event coming up on Saturday January 31st. Racing Without Limits will be a round table discussion featuring racers who have some much passion for auto racing and what drives them to overcome physical challenges. Should be a great time for all. I am currently helping in a small way with some state legislature regarding racetracks.

We have had questions about our plans for 2026, basically the same as 2025. Having some fun on Friday nights from June to September. Divisions and such to come out sometime in February. We know that we have had talks with Granite State Micro Sprints to return still working on dates, Wingless Sprint Cars will be there weekly along with Street Stocks. Pro 4 division may go to a DOT tire and try to get a few more cars. We have heard they don't come because of the wide racing tires we allow. Let's see what happens there. FWD drivers had fun and want to come back for more in 2026.
I have seen a bunch of videos and such from the old NORWAY PINES days, great to see those videos. A big thank you goes out to those who post and comment and let me learn more about the past history of when it was a fun place to spend your time at the track.
February will see a few days in Daytona for the RPM Workshops for track promoters. I will share more on that after I return.
