Will Hull Wins at RumTown

Wentworth, NH - After a month off , The JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England teams showed up at RumTown Speedway for the John Berry Memorial Sprint Car Spectacular. The car count was low again so with only nine cars there would only be one heat race. The FK Rod Ends / O'Reilly Auto parts heat race was a good eight lap battle between the race winner Caleb Lamson, Chris Donnelly , and Jake Williams. The three drivers were racing each other hard with Lamson, Williams, and Donnelly the top three at the checkered. After the invert , the field was set for the twenty five lap feature event. Will Hull would start on the pole with Mike Netishen along side. On lap one Clay Dow spun in turn three and did a huge wheelie and come to a stop bringing out the yellow . On the restart Hull would jump out to a good lead over the field . On lap eight Matt Hoyt stopped in turn four with a steering issue. Hoyt went into the pit area and quick repairs were made by his team to replace a draglink and he rejoined the field. Again on the restart Hull would get out front and start to pull away, this time Donnelly was doing everything he could to close in on Hull. Donnelly was using different parts of the track and closing in on Hull but ran out of laps, giving Will Hull his first win of the 2021 season, second was Chris Donnelly and Jake Williams third. During Victory Lane ceremonies all three drivers thanked the Berry family for the memorial race in honor of John Berry who for many years was to be found at a SCoNE event alwys helping push off the sprint cars.
