BROWN is the new BLACK & WHITE

Rumney , NH - Growing up in a racing family 16 year old Owen Brown is carrying on a family tradition. The kid from RumTown " Downtown" Owen Brown was able to win the 2023 Pro-4 division championship at Legion Speedway. His car owner and grandfather Roger Brown was the first racer of the family, racing at The Canaan Fair Speedway in a dirt stock. His other grandfather Russell Bickford was also a local short track racer in NH. His crew chief and dad Mark Brown began racing at the age of 14 in a Pro-4 style car at Legion Speedway. He eventually moved up to the late model division. Mark Brown raced at both Legion Speedway and The Canaan Fair Speedway and at one time was leading the points at both tracks in the late models, Mark decided to focus on winning the championship at Legion Speedway that year and ended up being the 2012 LM champion. The Brown family has been a staple at Legion Speedway through the changes of ownership and different track names.
Owen was able to start racing at the age of 14 just like his dad and continue with racing the Brown Racing #47 at Legion Speedway. His rookie season at Legion was in 2022 and it was a huge learning curve for him to understand racing on a dirt track. With a great support system in place with family and friends along with fellow competitors in the Pro-4 division, he got better each race. This Pro - 4 division at Legion is a fun group of racers who always help each other out in many different ways. The other racers schooled him well. During his second season Owen was able to collect two wins, four top three's and a Pro - 4 championship. Believe me when I say his family and fanbase was going crazy when he was out front. The first win was something to watch, the cheers echoed through the baker valley. Owen has many great people who support him at each event, they are loud and have fun each race night. Even his neighbor Carl sneaks him some racing cash and comes to support his good neighborhood kid. For 2024 the Brown racing team has purchased a wingless sprint car which Owen will compete in. He did some testing towards the end of 2023 and even ran the last wingless race to get the feel of other cars on track in a sprint car. I am sure it will be a big difference and he will hopefully enjoy the big car.
Owen would like to thank his grandparents, parents, and everyone who has helped him and supported him on and off the race track, to make his dreams come true. He would like like to thank his sponsor Master Movers from Barnstead, NH." I am lucky to have such good people behind me and supporting me, I could never thank them enough for everything they have done" Well I am sure being a good kid shows them thanks. Now that Owen is 16 he is taking drivers education to hopefully get his NH drivers license this spring. Hopefully the instructor hangs on when he says "turn left".
And when I visited with the Brown family to deliver the trophies I noticed another Brown who looks to be waiting to turn 14 years old so he can start racing. His younger brother Eyan is 13 and has plans on running the Pro-4 Brown Racing #47 in 2025.

If you know anyone or a business wanting to help out a young racer please have them reach out to us and we will get you in touch with Owen Brown. Follow his social media pages for more.

Good Luck in 2024 and THANK YOU to Owen Nation for supporting your local dirt track.

Be safe , enjoy life
